About me

I'm a UK-trained research professional with 17 years' global experience. Since 2003, I've worked in the US, the UK, Central Asia, Australia, India, Indonesia and Singapore.
In 2003, an information architecture project catalyzed my interest in understanding information flows through human networks. Since then, I've explored this problem through applied work with research scientists, government agencies and companies worldwide, on international scientific collaboration, knowledge discovery and security cooperation.
What I do
I write original research and analyses that my clients use to build their business case for support, plan a new project or prepare for a negotiation. Through immersive, on-location research I provide insights that cannot be obtained from media, industry reports and conferences.
I provide impartial analysis that guides partnership and investment decisions for individuals and teams in companies, government and universities. I analyze events and dialogues on behalf of clients who cannot attend an event, or who wish to gain insight anonymously. I construct timelines to investigate changes in legislation, policy outcomes, political narrative and security cooperation.
Where I work
I've lived and worked in 27 cities, 17 countries on five continents. I'm currently based in the western Himalayas and London. My favourite cities include Washington DC, Los Angeles and Bishkek. My favourite coffee (outside of Italy) is in Bishkek, San Diego and Melbourne.
My values
Integrity is everything. All my works are 100% original. I don't outsource, automate or white-label.
My inspirations
- systems science, intelligence analysis
